International Women's Day

We celebrate our women
We have been celebrating "International Women's Day" for over 100 years. It has its origin in the workers' movement of the late 19th and early 20th century. When and where exactly the idea for a political "women's day of struggle" first appeared is not clear. What is certain is that in many countries from the end of the 19th century onwards, women's movements call for a day to fight for equal rights, higher wages and better working conditions especially for women, as well as for women's right to vote and against discrimination.
On the occasion of "International Women's Day", we would like to introduce female colleagues from the Hawle Austria Group who are active in various fields of work. They answered exciting questions in short interviews for example, what is the greatest challenge of working in the water industry. But they also provide an insight into personal matters - revealing what motivates them and who their role models are.
Many thanks to all colleagues who took the time to answer the questions.
We wish you further success!
