In October 2018, a poor and potentially unsafe meter installation in the UK (Oldham) was improved and made operable by the installation of the new Hawle-Vario fitting. Used for the first time in England, the Hawle-Vario, which was supplied by our partner R2M, has the ultimate flexibility and offers up to 10 degrees of adjustment which in this application was the key to success. The original installation was leaking and couldn't cope with the misaligned pipes. After the customer was introduced to the Hawle-Vario, it was decided to replace the old installation. By installing the Hawle-Vario, a safe and reliable connection was achieved that saved money, time and only needs limited space. No expensive chamber reconstruction or pipework alterations were necessary.
