Even a household connection from 1968 needs replacing once in a while.

BUT: despite being an impressive 55 years of age, the valve was still intact after 55 years of use with an excellent inner and outer coating. We decided to replace the old service valve with a new Hawle ZAK system household connection. All in all, the valve was successfully replaced after half an hour (!) - here's to the next 55 years (at least)!
