Access to clean drinking water for millions of people in India
It is a sad reality that millions of people worldwide do not have any access to clean drinking water. Contaminated water is one of the world's most pressing challenges as it can lead to serious illness and even death. For this reason, it is important that we rise to these challenges and help provide people around the world with safe sources of drinking water.
E. Hawle Armaturenwerke GmbH is proud to be working in partnership with HELIOZ to disinfect water in India, thereby creating a sustainable future. By purchasing CO2 certificates that are generated by the Water & Climate India project, we are making an important contribution to mitigating climate change and improving local hygiene. The aim of this project is to provide safe drinking water to families in India by conducting information campaigns to convey key messages to households on proper hygiene and safe water management.
Furthermore, WADI, solar-powered UV measurement devices, are being distributed to make the process of solar-assisted bottled water disinfection (SODIS) visible. By investing in carbon offsets and helping local communities achieve secure access to clean water, we are making a significant contribution to combating climate change and improving the lives of millions of people. We are proud to be part of this project and to have a share in helping to create a more sustainable future.
