Help People Can Rely On.
2021 Donations
And another year is over – another year that was defined by the coronavirus and brought with it both new and familiar challenges for a lot of people. But, even though it is not always easy, we now need to focus on moving forward and look ahead to a positive future together.
As a collective, we must not forget those whose need for support extends beyond the coronavirus crisis. For many years now, Hawle has been passionate about helping people in difficult situations. This year, we will be lending our support to the following partners:
Licht ins Dunkel - Platinum Partner
"Licht ins Dunkel" is the biggest charitable initiative in Austria. With its focus on supporting physically and mentally disabled people as well as psychosocially impaired children, LICHT INS DUNKEL – a charitable, non-profit organization – promotes social projects and initiatives based around inclusion across the whole of Austria, with the aim of boosting participation in society. Individual support for families with children or people who have been disabled since birth is also available via the LICHT INS DUNKEL emergency fund.
Hawle will once again be a platinum partner this year after donating 10,000 euros.

Ö3 Christmas Miracle
Our employees have the opportunity to support the Ö3 Christmas Miracle. For this purpose, we set up donation boxes at the Vöcklabruck and Frankenmarkt locations and hope for many donations.
Viva con Agua - Ongoing Partnership
Also this year we support the initiative Viva con Agua Austria. This time in the form of an "online donation campaign", in which you are welcome to participate. After all, every euro counts: https://bit.ly/30YbtK1
Viva con Agua is campaigning for safe access to clean potable water around the world. The year 2021 will mark the third time that Hawle has supported Viva con Agua water projects in Malawi. There are around 51,000 people living in the small town of Dzaleka in central Malawi. With just 40 wells, their current drinking water supply is not sufficient. This year's donation by Hawle will go toward the construction of additional water kiosks as well as the repair of solar pumps that are more than a decade old.
Water kiosks are small buildings where the inhabitants of larger communities and cities can come to collect potable water to meet their day-to-day needs. This water is pumped out by the solar pumps and used by citizens for drinking, cleaning, personal hygiene, and cleaning. The project aims to provide inhabitants with 15 liters of water per person per day. By comparison, a private individual in Austria will consume an average of about 130 liters per day.

The Austrian Childhood Cancer Organization
The mission of the Austrian Childhood Cancer Organization is to provide comprehensive support to children and young people with cancer and their families. This ranges from medical and nursing care to social and psychological support, right through to legal assistance.
The organization was founded in 1988 and is active throughout Austria. It is an independent, non-profit organization that is mainly financed by private donations and has the Austrian Donors' Seal of Approval.
The six regional organizations principally provide direct help to families who find themselves in financial difficulties as a result of a child's illness and take care of financing child-friendly equipment on cancer wards. We hope that our 10,000-euro donation will go some way toward supporting this marvelous work.
