International Women's Day 2022
We celebrate our women!
The international holiday has now been around for over 100 years. It dates back to the women's workers' movement of the late 19th and early 20th centuries. A time when women were working in factories under inhumane conditions. At the same time, many were subjected to unacceptable living conditions (e.g., poor housing).
It was during this time that committed women began to fight. For better working conditions, equal pay for work of equal value, reduction in work without a reduction in pay, maternity protection and much more.
In 1911, the first Women's Day was held. Ten years later, the day was set for March 8.
Since then, many companies use the International Women's Day to bring the achievements of their women before the curtain.
We do the same. We introduce you female colleagues from the Hawle Austria Group who work in various fields. In short interviews they answered exciting questions, e.g. what is the biggest challenge when working in the water industry. But they also provide an insight into personal matters - revealing what motivates them and who their role models are.
