This is how successful the Innovation Challenge was

 “Win some extra vacation days!”    

With this call, we launched the biggest Innovation Challenge in the company's history at the end of last year. Today, almost one year later, we are still overwhelmed by the many fantastic ideas and the success of this challenge.

Out of an impressive total of 344 submitted ideas, five teams qualified for the finals, which were held at the end of September in Prague. There, the five best teams were given the opportunity to present their ideas to the jury after a three-month elaboration period.

The 15-strong jury, consisting of the Management Board and a representative of each branch of the Hawle Austria Group, certainly did not have an easy job. The creative presentations on the topics of

• sustainability,
• novel energy generation,
• innovative product ideas, and
• new potential business cases

impressed everybody. After a brief deliberation, it was clear that all participants were winners. Therefore, all members of the five teams were awarded an additional week's holiday leave.

We would like to take this opportunity to thank all participants again. The creativity and joint desire to improve our products made this Innovation Challenge a resounding success.
