Al Sharqiyah Water Transmission Project

It is hard to imagine that rural areas in Oman are still supplied with drinking water from tankers. In order to ensure a permanent drinking water supply (demand is constantly increasing), a ring water supply network was planned in 2016. A seawater desalination plant will feed this supply network. The project is in the implementation phase and is expected to be completed by 2023. 

Last year, the Hawle Austria Group was already able to win a first sub-project ("Sohar to Dahira"). And the decision to award the second sub-project was also in Hawle's favor. Thus, we have started with the project implementation. We want to emphasize the excellent cooperation of different project teams from the Hawle Austria Group with the following partners and customers:

  • Partner Al Rouba on site,
  • our customer PAW (The Public Authority for Water in Oman),
  • China GEO as client and
  • Khatib & Alami and partners as consultants.

After many ups and downs, we are proud to make a sustainable contribution improving the water supply in Oman as an international Hawle team - in addition to fulfilling economic corporate interests.
